Description

A striking and innovative transformation of the former Mayne Hall into a new Art Gallery and Art Museum for the University of Queensland. The project included the construction of a new extension to house the administration offices and to provide storage for artworks. The existing main auditorium was converted to the display area by the creation of a curved timber clad two level ‘pod’ – effectively a building within a building.
